Client Appreciation?!

How does that look? The dictionary defines appreciation as: a feeling or expression of admiration, approval, or gratitude. I believe this is the best definition.
The next question would be does such a thing exist? For the most part I would say, very little.
Why? Although real estate is a transaction that can create a bond depending the length of time we work together; it can also lead to a fleeting bond due to the infrequent use of services.
With time the bond can dissipate and people at times move to the next favorite new broker they know ; friend of the family, friend of a friend, a random connection or a local show off broker.
Other reasons would be the society we live in. Everyone wants everything fast and at their own time and if a broker doesn't meet that demand they go to the next. So at the end of the day only very few clients actually appreciate and if so it's due to a bad experience with another broker or simply their nature.
Another reason is the amount of competition. There is a daily increase of brokers, even though lots have left the industry. At times customers will go to the broker with the shiny listing or lifestyle with no regards to their experience, knowledge, or any past trust bond.
Appreciation comes from experience or experiences that lead a client to know the right combination of characteristics that make up a great broker. Once that happens a broker will have a repeat client and can grow a business from that.
